I usually get my office supplies from Staples ! :-) Not much fun having to wait more then an hour in weather like this, let alone 8 hours!. What is a 'FRED'?

David. FRED is an acronym for a Flashing Read End Device. Also called an EOT or End Of Train device. Its the flashing light on the back of trains that after all is said and done, replaced the caboose in the 1980's.
