The paint scheme on the lead unit rather unusual looking. I do not recall seeing those colors before on any other locomotives.

They are the racing colours of Australian racehorse Black Caviar. All CFCLA locos are named after Australian Racehorses under the Australian Horsepower banner.

I'm speechless. The owners of Black Caviar would't let there horse anywhere near that standard gauge mudhole of a 'mainline'. We name our loco's after racehorses and footballers. How many of them travel by train? Plenty of good railwaymen deserve their name on the side of loco's. (me included!).
