This was once a very busy place, especially about two hours after EL 8, the Atlantic Express arrived heavily laden with mail, with EL 10, the New York Mail hot on their heels from the old Lackawanna route. Now, you'd never suspect how important it was to New York businesses. It has been "gentrified".

Another great old photo, if it were in black & white it would look a little like a Berenice Abbott, from her c1930's photos of Changing New York. I think the waiting room frontage looks more like a Theatre than a ferry/railway waiting room! Again thank you for sharing it with us all on RPN.

Does anyone knows if these buildings still exists?

This terminal was in a scene from Three Days of the Condor with Robert Redford.

Anselmo - Yes, this building still exists and is still in service, with a nice restoration as well.

It looks so empty without the clock tower. At least these days both the ferry service and the clock tower have been restored. The only thing missing is the Friendly Service Route.
