Nicolas, what an interesting point of view, and thank you for the background history lesson. As I looked at this photo I was curious about how you were able to get it and where you had to be standing in order to capture VIA #57? So I went to Google Maps and looked up the Lachine Canal in Montreal. Sure enough, I answered my question: You were standing on the Rue Wellington Bridge over the Lachine Canal, and used a very good telephoto lens to look East through this swing bridge to capture train #57! You had some patience my friend as I'm guessing you were there for a while and your timing had to be perfect to get this shot. My lens cap is off to salute you for getting this shot! Great job!
