As a fan of the Union Pacific - I have to admit that they sure have been a "testing ground" railroad, with some very "unusual", (and I will be brutally honest by adding downright UGLY!), equipment: U50-C's for example, this unit..among a few unfortunately unforgettable ones. This unit was UGLY! But yet Union Pacific used it! They weren't ashamed of using equipment that "Only a mother could love!"

This thing must have worked for its purpose to last on UP's roster. They don't let junk wear the red and yellow livery and dn the UP shield for very long.
