Amazingly, 4266 still exists, remarkably running at North Conway in her restored "Minute Man" deep red with yellow striping. Looks a lot better than she did 38 years ago, to boot. Not a lot of us can say that.

"Candy store" describes the area well! Even if Maine Central's YR-1/RY-2 ran in darkness sometimes, the other confections usually assured a rewarding visit.
