Why are they finishing with this train?Low passengers loads?

This train, along with many DB sleepers run at a loss despite being popular. Unfortunately the investment required to bring the train up to modern standards is not forthcoming and therefore the service will end. Night trains now face a lot of competition from faster day trains and flights. It is a sad reality that many more are likely to finish in the coming years.
