Is this line still in operation and if so how often is it run on?

Matt, yes it is still happily active. Runs usually five days a week currently mon-fri. Times and frequency may vary day to day and week to week.

I am sure that many a rail-fan has coveted the sign for that bar!!!!! The whipping dust and sand really make the point about thundering up the grade!!
