I find it VERY distressing that the trash cars do not have SOME KIND of COVERING over the trash, like is normally done on loads of wood chips or construction debris. It would seem that the wind would loosen and deposit bits & pieces of this trash along the trains entire route. Very unsatisfactory in this day & age.

In reply to Rich Brown: To relieve your distress, the garbage cars are actually covered with a plastic orange mesh, which can be seen in the photo (have to look very closely). The mesh is applied at the time of packing the cars and is dumped with the garbage when they arrive at there destinations. The mesh is very thin and tight knit so it can hold the smaller debris in the cars.
