Nice to see a photo of a 'Big Boy' that isn't 4014! (Just kidding!) Actually the full length of a Big Boy is 132ft nine and three quarter inches! The locomotive 'only' is 85 feet. It could do with some attention to the paint work, Other than that it's still a great photo.

Man! That is some serious machinery. Now how radical would it feel to be driving this leviathan across the Plains, full-bore, on a beautiful, summer day? Can't wait to see 4014 running.

The low angle sun really shows off the detail of the various rods (don't know the technical names) around the drivers. Very nice unobstructed photo. Thanks for sharing.
