James, how many locos were painted this way? I can understand a joint Union Pacific & Utah Railway locomotive, but to be painted in Southern Pacific or Cotton Belt "Bloody Nose" scheme & in 1989 is truly amazing. What a superlative catch. PCA nod from me. Thanks for posting.

I don't think they were "joint" anything - just second hand units UR purchased and given a quickie UR paint scheme by applying the necessary matching paint color with UR lettering. Looks like they picked a switch...
