Excellent! Very skillfully captured leading to a dramatic photograph! Thanks for sharing the EXIF info - f /10 at 1/800th, you knew what you were doing! That rain must have really been coming down fast!

Thank You Mitch. I was very focused once I got to train station and saw the consist coming down the line. I waited to run out of the shelter just at the right time and walked briskly to the end of platform to get this in the rain. I wanted to get a rain shot to be the companion piece to my snow shot earlier this year at same location.

Easily one of the best photos to ever grace these pages. Simply amazing! Almost as if its a painting. I am enthralled.

Rain shots to me are the most challenging. This one just bangs out! Great capture!

I half expect the Mystery Machine to turn the corner & come into view.

The best shots are always taken under the worst conditions. Well done!

Really nice shot, one of the better ones thanks for showing it to us.
|
Forgot to add that the roadbed is very different looking as well, adds a nice element to the photo.
|
The trees and dark clouds give it a nice vignette as well.

Fake rain FTW!!!
|
Why is the same forked branch repeated twice near the bottom right side of the image?
|
That's a good point, Jim. In fact, this whole image appears to have been heavily altered in a photo editing program. Perhaps even the rain is fake.
