Same here. E-units like these pulled passenger trains (short as they were) through my hometown downstate. And I always looked forward to the walk to/from grade school since freight trains came through town, often during my walk to school. Back then you could walk along the tracks and be left alone. I knew to stay a safe distance away though :-)
