So anyone know what's going on? They were supposed to close this section of the park and start construction as of June 1st, yet here we are on the cusp of October and nothing appears to have happened since the trees were cleared.

I'd guess that they didn't want to interfere with tourists during peak season and will start soon, as the leaves will soon be gone. Then on to food old NY winter!
