Actually the line behind you is the CP Withrow Sub, the Ex SOO mainline that connected the Twin Cities to Superior, WI and Chicago, IL. When the SOO acquired the MILW in 1985, the lines East of Withrow were sold off to the WC. The line to Superior was abandoned past Dresser, WI (Withrow to Dresser still exists as the CN Dresser Sub to serve the Dresser Trap Rock quarry for CP ballast trains and the Osceola & St. Croix Valley Ry tourist operation), the line to Steven's Point, WI was WC's and now the CN's route into the Twin Cities. The depot at New Brighton was actually just recently built, and only serves for CN crews to get their paperwork and supplies. CN has trackage rights to Shoreham yard (to access BNSF Northtown), and CN trackage does not actually begin until the split at Withrow. Hope that helps!
