Nice shot, fresh paint on the lead unit too. And electric service ended on 01MAY1981 so this was in the last month of operation.

Do any of you guys know a more exact time when they stared to pull down the catenary? Perhaps immediately after electric service concluded?

Nate, I think it was 1985. I remember riding the 1985 NRHS convention's steam special that August on the A&S to Enola, and the trolley wire was still intact over the two active tracks on the "West Shore" near the PA Turnpike bridge, but the trolley wire over the then-recently removed other two tracks was drooping, nearly to the ground in some places.
