Yum! Nice share, esp. for us era-uncertain modelling types in and around the NYC final years...

That fluted-side ex-Frisco car MAY well be a coach-buffet-lounge providing snack & drink service. Frisco built these for their "Meteor" train between St Louis and Oklahoma City. These cars had 16 table seats and a small bar/galley in an area partitioned off from the (mostly) coach portion of the car. GN also operated these cars on their "Winnipeg Limited between St Paul, MN and Winnipeg, Manitoba, until discontinued on "Amtrak-Day" in May 1971. ( Info from Passenger Train Journal June 1979 & November 1984)
