Why AC4400's? BNSF has plenty of junk power they could have leased to Metrolink while good power like this stays out there earning money for them pulling real trains.

From what I understand, the AC4400CWs were some of the only spare power that already had PTC equipment installed which is why they were chosen for Metrolink.
