Nice photo Robert - love it. Wish I could have been there with you. Just when exactly was this photo taken? You have the Date of Photo as June 21, 1987...I don't recall ever hearing about any PRR steam locomotives running in 1987..Lol. Just curious. Still a beautiful photo.

You captured a lot of PRR 'Wows' in this photo....A PRR K4 under steam in Altoona on the mainline by Alto Tower. Too bad they didn't unleash her and let her take a quick trip up around the Horseshoe Curve! I think I was one of the spectators off to the right in your photo.

Where you in 1987 when there was a lot of activity with this engine? Much happened which you can read on the iInternet. Just GOOGLE PRR1361 1987 and see what you get.

You can certainly tell from the cars parked at the side of the road that this wasn't taken in the 1950s. :)
