Baxter, Thanks for posting this photo. I used to live in MMA territory so I liked to keep track of the units that were actioned off or sold to other railroads.

Thanks for the newsy shot. We shot their old units during WGRF last year. I need to go back.

Jason, if you're gonna be complaining about the screeners or about someone's photos, you should probably have some photos of you own on the site first to back up your claims. At least tell me what your problem with the photo is so I could potentially learn from your suggestion.

Forget about the photo, I can't believe the screeners posted your off color comment... twice! (Maybe they would be kind enough to remove it?) Keep the photos coming Baxter! :)

After all the trouble I went through to bring this locomotive to Alamosa...

Baxter, pay no attention. The fact that Jason's comment was posted is somewhat mysterious. It's comments like that (destructive as opposed to constructive) that deter people from posting, getting rejected, bettering themselves, and posting again. Jason doesn't appear to have any photos of his own here. If he does, I could not find them. I for one am happy to see a photo that is not the result of 4-6 hours of post processing and does not use blending techniques (HDR, averaging, stacking, etc), resulting in an unrealistic and often gaudy portrayal of a scene even a human's eye-brain combination couldn't render properly with the given lighting conditions. There is a place for "news", "roster", and "where are they now" shots on RP. THe categories even say so. Is this an artistic shot? No. But it's value (both aesthetic and informative) is in the eye of the beholder. If one reads the previous comments, it should be obvious that there are a few people on RP who find significant value in this photograph and therefore I thank RP for posting. This locomotive has a story. We all spend our time personifying these marvels of engineering, new and old. Let this old engine's story be told.

I quite agree. The screeners error was in posting the comment. Very poor form. Keep em coming Baxter.
