The original American high speed train. The basic structure of these was the underpinning of the Amfleet passenger cars developed later. Having ridden in the Amfleet cars, I can appreciate that they were developed with high speed operation in mind. The Amfleet cars track beautifully at speed, particularly when compared with the rough riding Superliner double decker cars used on long distance trains. Of course, my experience on the Superliners was strictly on CSX track (Auto Train), which may have colored my perception somewhat!
