Something about those AC6000's makes me smile... Nice catch! What's your light setup for this?

Sweet shot, Gary! Razor sharp would be an understatement while "vibrant" would be spot on!

This image brings me back to a night MANY years ago when a railfan friend and I camped out here overnight. Word of our presence was quickly passed on the radio and "excessive" horn tooting became the crews game for the evening. It was a great night, despite getting VERY LITTLE SLEEP ! THANKS for bringing back that memeory

What railroad does the tunnel on the left belong too?
Posted by Rich Brown on March 29, 2016
BOTH tunnels were built by the Boston & Albany (NYC) Originally, one was for eastbound traffic, the other for westbound. Abandonment of the westbound tunnel was a "reasonably recent" ( late Conrail, I believe) event.

Oh, ok thanks for the information!

Yes, and if you click on the "(more...) link for "Canaan, New York" in the information above, on page 2 you'll find a shot from November of 1989 with track 1 still in place but out of service (rusted), as Conrail was in the process of single tracking the B&A. By the way, I had to laugh about the camping story, Rich. Whaaamp! Whaaamp!
