There's just "something" about this image that make it look MUCH MORE like a PAINTING than a photo. The quality of the colors is VERY reminiscent of the illustrations that Howard Fogg did for ALCO in the 1950s. NICE work Greg.

For a photograph, it looks over processed into a painting. Being in Sleepy Hollow I keep looking for the headless horseman to gallop along the line of parked autos.

Can you post a link to the unedited version? Would be interesting to see how much processing was done to this.

Why is the Q701 rail train "outlawed"? What does "outlawed" mean in this context? Just curious.

p.s. It does look like a painting.

Are the platform extensions out over the tracks on the far left permanent, moveable, temporary, what and why?

Outlawed - is the term used when the crew has used all of it's allowed 12 hours of duty. Federal regulations do not permit the crew to be on duty over 12 hours. A second crew must be used to move the train from the point where the original crew went on the law.

Thank you all for your comments! The Bridgeplates in the photo are temporary while conduit work is being performed. The photo is processed more than I wanted to but was done to meet guidelines. As commented above, it does actually look like a painting which I kinda like. When I get the photo to my site, I'll be sure to post a link.
