Did they scrap this rebuild project? I had read that 84 were to be rebuilt.

The project hasn't been officially cancelled...yet. If (a) traffic picks up and (b) the 8.5s don't become hangar queens then there may be a (slim) chance.

There looks to be about four cab variations so far... horribly ugly protruding uni-brow, slightly protruding uni-brow, not protruding, and a cab/nose that looks like it's from GE. Pretty interesting so far, hopefully they'll keep going. Seems like the last (and only other?) large GE rebuilding program was Santa Fe with the SF30Cs.
