I have slides of UP C855s 60 and 61 in Houston, TX on January 23, 1972; UP 60 at Houston Armarture Works and 61 in HB&T's yard. Both were scrapped by Houston Armature Works in Houston.

Bigger isn't always better. The DDA40X Centennials were bigger & # 6936 still shows off with style for the UP. I do love this pic none the less, Bill. Thanks for posting.

They are ugly and they must not have been built right, but still, I would have found a way to make sure they had life. Maybe retrofit them to hold a capable motor or whatever their problems were, I would figure out something.
