What caught my attention here is that Austria is still able to ship new cars in open auto carriers whereas, here in the US, we have to use armored (enclosed) cars to prevent vandalism or theft of cars enroute for at least the last 25 years. That says something of the sorry state of affairs of our legal system and enforcement as well as our deteriorating moral character as a nation.

Open articulated car carriers are a common sight all over Europe.Closed car carriers are used too but only for the most expensive car transport..(Porshe for example).
