Thanks for the comment, David. I actually had the incorrect date when you commented, so the photo was "only" thirty-four years ago, although your comment is still valid. It's interesting to note that this shot could be replicated today. The GP38 is still on the roster, and actually looks a little better. The water tower, somewhat rusted, and the trackage appear to be intact on Google maps. Not operating, but still intact is the caboose shown on my follow-up shot here.
