That's cool. Is this common? I've seen UP cars with older reporting marks, but never a virtual "heritage unit" like this.

I hope it don't get tagged by those paint-happy vandalistic jackasses that are out there disgracing the nation with their crap! That crap is NOT art! You can't watch a train going down the tracks anymore without seeing their so-called art-work on the sides of the cars!

I saw this very car go through Cincinnati on June 15th, 2016. I was very curious about it's story. As soon as I saw the tiny thumbnail of this photo I knew exactly what it was and clicked on it hoping for some kind of explanation. Thank you for sharing this, I can rest easier now.

Had this car near the head-end of my train the other day I was very intrigued that it had been repainted to its original look.

I had to do a double take at the date. That's neat that they repainted it to its original colors.

I don't get it. If there was a protocol for doing this kind of thing, we'd see freshly shopped "fallen flag" paint schemes all over the place. Somebody went above and beyond. What's next...a CB&Q "Every Where West" 40' boxcar? Whoever it was, thanks for creating this gem!

Fresh paint on a Cotton Belt grabbed my attention, very cool! Btw, it's a tri-level. ;)
