Does "making its presence known" mean it's using its horn in a "No Train Horn" zone?

I was hoping someone would catch the irony of my remarks in the description! In this case, "making its presence known" would mean the sheer fact of it traveling down the rails at 50 mph, along with stopping a person here and there at the various crossings in the area.
