I recently read a story on line, (sorry, I don't recall where or by who), but the gentleman writing the story was giving some inside perspective on the Roadrailer service. Basically said it was a very much "niche" market, and was difficult to find enough traffic that fit the limits of what roadrailer offered. The end of the story was that it couldn't compete with either trucks on one end, to regular TOFC trains on the other end. The gentleman gave the impression that the roadrailer trains filled a much needed void...
