Interesting photo Matthew, and an interesting concept for this rail line. One has to wonder how effective the water drainage is in this "concrete canyon"? One severe rain storm that dumps 2 inches or more an hour, and this line would effectively be underwater and this would be a river. Who are the engineers and surveyors who plan these types of construction projects? Do they ever consider the common sense aspect that this type of design would NOT be a good idea when it comes to really good heavy rain storms? Still, interesting photo. Good capture!
