I know right where that is. We crossed the track here on our way to my grandparents. 128th Street, I think. This siding was called Allison back in the Milwaukee Road days. The siding used to end here but my dad said the Milwaukee extended it in the mid 1950's. I think it was to accommodate drop-off of log flats from the Mineral sub that would be picked up by the Hoquiam turn for the mill along with other car storage. Saved them from having to take loads all the way back to town. Sometimes when my dad was growing up, they would see rows of boxcars parked there loaded with new cars. There used to be a water tank to the right of the track back in the steam days. My dad said he and his older brother would climb the water tower and take a dunk, trying to avoid the presence of train crews.
