are these sets ultimately destined to work the Geneva-Milan EC trains ?

This type of train is already running as Eurocity between Geneva and Milan since a few years, and between Basel-Bern-Lötschberg-Milan and over the Gotthard route as well. The SBB has now 19 of this series (7 ETR 610 and 12 RABe 503, which are more or less the same).

Thank you. I understand now=this set is merely an addition to the RAB502 fleet. I thought this was a newer version.
