It makes me happy to see this photo. As a kid in the 60's, my parents and I took several trips from our central Illinois hometown north to Chicago, often on the Panama. We sometimes sat in a parlor car. In my mind's eye I can still picture myself sandwiched between them, staring out the window intently watching the scenery pass by, making sure I didn't miss a thing.
