Other than this being the 4449, anyone know what's going on here?... i.e. what's the occasion? No Remarks on a 50s-era shot is one thing... but June of 2017?

Nice shot of a wonderful locomotive, I believe this is an excursion sponsored by the railroad museum in Portland, I am sure there is more info on their website.

Lots of nice things about the image, certainly a gangbusters location. But the image looks a bit over processed.

Zach, I don't think I'm undereducated (whatever that means) but I do prefer photo realism where the colors are not pumped up to an unrealistic level. In this case the red and orange on the engine are way too saturated. On the other hand it is a matter of personal preference, and there is a school of folks out there who love the neon lighting affect or whatever you want to call it. Photoshop and its clones make a lot of creative things possible, but they are not all good. But again it is art and you an like what you like.
