That CCP unit could also be an original IC motor, I remember growing up on the IC that there was no rush to paint motors, I'm happy to say I saw every scheme imaginable on trains, IC, ICG, GMO, White IC, Black IC, Green Diamonds...now that I look back, 1980s railfanning wasn't so bad.

My hometown is on the Mainline of Mid-America too. Before I moved away, I had other things on my mind in the 80's and didn't pay as close attention to all the paint schemes as I should have. something I regret.
