Nice capture of an elusive operation. I shot an excursion on the BLA in May 1986. The occasion was Ferndale Days community celebration. I assume that this is the previous year's edition.

You know "Ferndale Days" festival certainly rings a bell, but I sure couldn't find it mentioned in my notes. Based on the time of year, I'm sure you're right. Thanks for the comment, and added info.
