Very unique photograph, sir! Maybe you do not have the answer to this, but I'm curious: It seems that each time I see a picture of this particular railroad, the engines are running long hood first. Is this standard operating procedure, or is this like the Southern/NW for protection? Thank you for posting this and the other great pictures you have. I hope you have an answer......

@Tom Keeping: Thank you for your comment. About your question, there is no operating procedure, simply the locomotive is used in the position in which it is, indistinctly if it is with the short front or with the long front. In the Chilean rail network there are few places to invest position locomotives (turntables, or investment triangles). Greetings.
