What are the recent policy changes regarding hauling private cars??

Ron, search for "Guidelines for Private Cars on Amtrak." A link should pop up for a 2-page PDF document on Amtrak's web site, dated April 18, 2018. You might want to also search for their "Guidelines for Charter Trains Operated by Amtrak."

Maybe it is just because I have autism that I can not understand why people on the internet will post questions like that when Google can find this in less than half a second, "Amtrak provides the ability for rail/train car owners to have their privately-owned rail/train cars attached to our trains between specified locations to see North America in an extraordinary way. We also provide many services, including 480v standby power, water, ice, septic, car wash, parking, and switching. The charges to the owner of the private car include an annual registration fee, concurrent with the annual PC-1 inspection, as well as a mileage rate based on the number of cars on that particular movement request and other charges based on the services requested. View our Private Car Tariff terms and conditions, and other information about private car movements. As one who rode Moonlight Dome many times on the B&O's Capitol Limited, it looks naked without its floodlights.
