Interesting bridge, I didn't know any did the nested lift thing, which probably isn't the correct engineering term but is how I would describe it.

The Steel Bridge in Portland is the only bridge of its type in the World, and is the only public bridge crossing the Willamette River in Portland that is not owned by Multnomah County. It's still owned by Union Pacific, with right of way on the upper decks to the public.
