Hello, the 68000 and 68500 were not the only diesel locomotives to provide steam for train heating, there was also the CC65000 which was equipped with a steam boiler. Whether it's the 65000 or the 68000, it's been a long time since the boilers of these locomotives were removed.

You're right Pascal, the big difference between 68000 and 65000 is that 65000 was rarely used for passengers services elsewhere of West France unlike 68000 which run everywhere in France. 65000 serie only have 20 units while 68000 with 80 units! You can see a preserved 65000 on RPN #474465 picture.
