Growing up as a kid in Beloit the only FM's I ever saw other than in museums where ones being rebuilt for the Mexican railroads. I do remember watching the CN&W locos going up the Riverside drive spur in Beloit that served the Wisconsin Power light power station, Beloit Corp and Fairbanks Morse. The Milwaukee road spur runs down a road aptly named switch track alley, which I believe is now run by the Duluth Minnesota and Eastern railroad to this day. Interesting point of fact that same factory now build both FM and ALCO diesel engines to this day.

I ran into active H16-66s in heavy switching service at Pigs Eye Yard, St. Paul. Found a few pictures which I hope to share circa early 1970s.
