Yes. Amtrak does own this part of the line. The track that they operate runs from Porter Indiana to Kalamazoo. From Kalamazoo to Dearborn it's owned by the State of Michigan, and operated by Amtrak. Norfolk Southern, the former owner of the Michigan owned stretch is the freight operator.
