I once knew a gentleman who ran a hobby shop on Cape Cod, who often espoused the idea that "IF you can think of it, there has probably been a prototype for it somewhere at some time." This image certainly helps support that idea. He also believed that if you wanted to paint your caboose pink, that was OK too. Chessie System later went ahead and did so. It was one of their odd-colored "Safety Slogan" cabooses.
