Nice photo! I was lucky that my parents took me on one of the 40 trips the 2101 made (the Cleveland to Willard OH trip). On the trip I took, the 2101 had plenty of stack talk and belched plenty of smoke just like your photo shows here. The Chessie paint scheme applied to the 2101 certainly suited her (I like it better than her original Reading paint). Thanks for the memories.

Great shot, Bill! Great caption, too! Looked nothing like something you'd have seen on the B&O, nor the C&O, but sure looked pretty! Surprised it was not mentioned that former RDG No. 2101 was also painted in red, white and blue - well, with a red stripe, anyway, as the national Bi-Centennial train. Here in this photo from 2016, she sits strangely stripped of her fame and fortune, forgotten by many, most notably, the Museum itself.
