Timothy, A great shot of what is now history. Please explain the signal positions and light colors on these signal types for those such as me who aren't quite sure what they mean.

When the 3 light signal pattern is horizontal, that indicates 'Stop'. When the 3 light signal pattern is slanted (not shown in photo), that indicates 'Approach'. When the 3 light signal pattern is straight up/down or vertical, that indicates 'Clear'. These lighted or illuminated signal patterns were derived from the period when the PRR used to use semaphores for signals (prior to lights) - the lighted signal merely mimic the old style semaphore signal patterns that had the same meanings.
