I grew up and still live in Ohio, just a couple hours West of Cumberland in Columbus, and to tell you the truth, I NEVER even knew about this railroad until a few photos showed up here on RP.net. WOW! The railfan community thought it was going to spell disaster for the yard crews when in the late 1990's they started to introduce remote control switching (which it kind of did by cutting down the number of employees assigned to yard crews)! Who knew that in 1969, AEP was ahead of the times with remote control operated trains?! If only... Now, it's become the common practice in yards and now on some local jobs too, I understand! Still, WOW!!
