Such a sad photo Doug. Too bad someone can't do something to rescue or save this equipment. Of course, I guess we can't save it all. This equipment is owned by the Plymouth & Lincoln Railroad in Lincoln, New Hampshire. The Plymouth & Lincoln Railroad is a railroad operating on the Concord-Lincoln rail line in central New Hampshire. The railroad consists of two distinct passenger operations, the Hobo Railroad, which offers passenger excursion trains in the White Mountains, and the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad, which operates passenger excursion trains along the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. The Hobo Railroad excursions are operated out of the Hobo Adventure Golf Center in Lincoln, which is a Putt-Putt or Mini Golf course. They actually have four of these sitting on the East end of their Wye in Lincoln. This one closer to your camera looks like it may have been involved with hitting something guessing by the damage visible.

Stainless teel doesn't seem to mind sitting in storage for years. At least while stored there remains a CHANCE of being returned to service or parted-out to keep their "brothers" operating. Sure beats getting cut up and exported for scrap.
