The photo brings back memories. When I was very young, 5 yrs or so old, we used to ride the LIRR trains
from the Maspeth area to the beach in the ping pong cars. One time we had to wait while on the causeway or rather the wooden trestle while a fire was extinguished. That was back around 1945. I live in SC now.
