Beautiful shot...I cannot count the hours, or even the number of times I was in these woods all around the curve. I collected spikes and other smaller items that are strewn through those trees, whether by past wrecks or just left behind by workers. My nephew and I spend a lot of time camping near the curve, just to be near the trains, way back in the late 50's and early 60's.

It's hard to believe that there was once a rail spur line just to the left of the locomotive that went back into this mountain area to remove coal. Nice photo.
